Ben X. Trinh
In the spring of 2002, Ben Trinh was discovered face-down in a gutter, somewhere in downtown New Orleans. Rehabilitated by a compassionate group of visiting Episcopalian parishioners, he emerged from the depths of a five-year, beer-induced dementia (i.e. Tulane University) with the sobering realization that he would make art and comics in New York City. Since completing his MFA in School of Visual Arts' Illustration program in 2004, Ben has been working the hustle and flow, drawing and painting while holding down a steady job waitering and bartending in his adopted home of Park Slope, Brooklyn. His mother still secretly wishes he'd gone to medical school. |
