Fay Ryu
Comics Contribitor

You won't meet a more down-to-earth person than Fay Ryu. Never one to lose her cool, she exudes the sort of Zen-like calm that can quell the crying of newborn babies. Perhaps being born in Jersey, then raised in California, affords her a unique bi-coastal perspective. For certain, her work marries the sensibility of West Coast graffiti culture with that urban experience unique to New Yorkers.

Most recently, Fay was awarded the prestitigious Xeric Grant, which she used to self-publish her first graphic novel Hello, a silent story of one woman's symbolic internal struggle between logic and emotion, set against the backdrop of city life's daily stresses.
