Wendi Koontz
Comics Contributor

When Wendi Koontz visited the tomb of Col. Sanders (of the ubuquitous KFC fast food chain) in 1999, the experience was made all the more memorable by the presence of wild peacocks. This may or may not have had a profound impact on her development as an artist.

Since that time, Wendi has been hard at work creating illustrations for clients such as The New York Times, New York Press, YM, Girls Life, The Pitch and Bust Magazine. Also she has had her work shown in art spaces such as Brooklyn's Flux Factory. Most recently, Wendi illustrated Body Art, a children's book and accessory kit of Eastern-inspired body adornments.
