Aya Kakeda
Aya Kakeda is fascinated by lots of things. Her obsessions changing on a weekly basis, she currently finds herself preoccupied with the French language and the star-nosed mole, which is just weird-looking. I mean, have you seen one of those things? They have tentacles on their noses. Aside from these passing obsessions, Aya keeps herself quite busy with illustration and character design work for clients such as Nickelodeon/Noggin TV, The NewYorker, New York Times, YongMiss, Venus, Bust, Girl's Life, Baby Riot and TimeOut NY. Additionally, she has exhibited work in galleries both domestically and abroad; Aya is also a vital contributor to the art collective Flux Factory. |
